Our goal is to understand how photosynthesis works so that we can optimize its efficiency and inspire sustainable energy solutions.

We study the biochemical and biophysical properties of photosynthetic proteins in cyanobacteria, green algae, and plants — especially Photosystem II.

Graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs working across molecular biology, biochemistry, spectroscopy, and instrument design.

We are actively recruiting graduate students, and multiple opportunities are open to LSU undergraduates.
